First off, let's give credit
where credit is due. We use Hazelden's
Living in Balance Program. They sell the
core program that we use on Hazelden's web
site for about a $1,050 just for the text
book. We would not be purchasing such a
course of study if we didn't feel it
worked. And it does work. Several books on
Rehab Centers have quoted "I do not believe
there is an alcoholic or drug user alive who
would not be touched by Hazelden's treatment
program. The Hazelden's prototype is a
treatment model used by many facilities"
Ours is one of them. If you have the
$25,000, we would be the first to suggest
you catch a plane up to Minnesota and enroll
in their program. We use their educational
program ourselves in classes we teach. The
program was developed by the United States
Government under Project Match and not only
Hazelden uses it, but every Rehab Center in
the Country that has even a remote chance of
success will use it in their core program or
be faced with failure. Our cost is $10,000
and it is all inclusive and that is the
Hazelden's Living in Balance Core program as
well as many other books from AA. We cap
our classes to no more than Ten students per
class. Operations with multi-million dollar
over-heads can not do this. Doesn't make
them any less of a program, it just creates
a larger classroom. We find that working
with small groups of ten or less has a
higher rate of success than "just a face in
the crowd". Hazelden graduated over 7,000
people last year, in Minnesota alone. They
have four facilities in different states.
We graduated about 50 students for the
entire year and never more than Seven in one
class last year and most are now clean and
sober. It works for us. There is no one
method of getting clean and sober. There
have been just about as many success stories
as there have been drunks and addicts. It
works different ways for different people.
If you do not design a program that is
tailor made for the individual, you risk
loosing more than just a client. You can't
design a one size fits all program, you must
take the individual into the actual design
or it simply "won't work".
Our Facility offers private
suites. Some facilities crowd people into
one room and for some that works. Even Betty
Ford, Sierra Tucson and yes, even Hazelden
has multi-patient rooms. You will hear
every excuse in the world why packing a
couple or more people into a room is
therapeutic, but for some, its not. It's
crowded. The truth of the matter is they
just have too many students for their
existing facilities. They have outgrown it
and of course, success breeds success. We
congratulate them but keep our facility to
less than Ten students per 28 day class. We
could pack even more into our facility as we
have 36 private individual rooms. We
provide overnight accommodations for staff
where if a problem exist 24 hours a day,
someone qualified is there, on premises to
solve the problem. Transportation is
always provided into outside meetings,
shopping or even going to a restaurant on
the lake where we teach Serenity and
introduction to Spirituality. Religion is
for those who do not want to go to Hell,
whereas we teach spirituality is for those
who went to Hell and do not want to go
back. We have even taught spirituality at a
National monument that honor the fallen
dead. It is a peaceful place and it does
seem to have the presence of something or
someone with a higher power than we
possess. A classroom is not always within a
building although we use conference rooms,
classrooms and even great Halls for our
instruction. Our facility is 17,000 square
feet, consisting of 36 private bedrooms,
Great Room, Gym, Restaurant, Dining Halls
and conference center situated on Two and
Half Acres of quiet, serene, peaceful and
calm surroundings nestled in the middle of
"farm country". But make no mistake about
it, we are in the "boonies". An Alcohol
Rehab facility is not something you want in
your back yard. For change to take place,
you need a change, far away from the
influence of drug dealers, enablers, well
meaning friends who want to buy you a drink
and parties.
You will only make one trip
to an Alcohol Rehab facility and you will
only make one trip back. There is no point
in the Continental United States that is
farther than four hours by airplane and four
hours is really quite a short journey indeed
compared to the path of destruction that led
up to Alcohol or drug rehab. This place is
not situated on the beach, we do not have a
view overlooking the cliff sides of the
Pacific Ocean and we do not offer a falling
waterfall. After all, this is Rehab. Make
no mistake about it, it is cunning, baffling
and deadly this thing we are fighting. It's
not a vacation, you are not going to a
resort hotel, you are going to a specific
designed "clinic" type setting that is made
to do one thing and do one thing well. That
is to sober you up, dry you out and make you
clean and drug free. If that is what you
want, then you should call us, we even buy
the plane ticket and bring you to a safe
environment that offers you a chance. A
chance at a new life is what it is all
about. Call us now at 1-800-396-5534. You
can't afford not too, the life you save,
could very well be your own. Give yourself
a chance. Try our way. Your way didn't work
out too well for you.
